WOMEN2WIN WELCOMES NEW DIRECTOR

28 September 2008

Amanda Sater, former Conservative Parliamentary candidate for Luton North, has taken over from Lorraine Fulbrook, as Executive Director of women2win.

Lorraine has stepped down from her post after a highly successful two years, in which we have seen not only a great number of women selected as candidates, but also have increased the percentage of women candidates selected in target seats.

She will now be spending her time on her own campaign and we wish her every success at the forthcoming election.

Commenting on the challenge ahead, Amanda Sater said, “I am delighted to take over the reins of the organisation after such a successful launch of W2W and look forward to taking W2W through the next phase.

There is still lots more work to be done in supporting our candidates towards the next general election, and in continuing our efforts to reach out to women across the country to become more active in Conservative politics, so that they may ultimately become members of Parliament”.

Making a dream come true!
As a child, who did you dream of becoming? A scientist who would find the cure for cancer? A teacher who would mold young lives? A fireman who would rescue people from burning buildings? I dreamed of becoming a politician who would build a better future for our children.
