WOMEN2WIN GOES NORTH

5 January 2009

Wendy Morton, PPC for Tynemouth, recently held a women2win Networking Event
with Eric Pickles MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Communities & Local Government, at St James' Park stadium in Newcastle upon Tyne.

The event, kindly supported by Brooks Newmark MP, Co-Chairman of women2win, saw 30 women and Party staff from across the North East come together to discuss ideas, advise those interested in a political career, and feed back to the Shadow Cabinet.

An enjoyable evening was had by all, and it was deemed such a success Wendy was asked to organise another event for 2009!

Making a dream come true!
As a child, who did you dream of becoming? A scientist who would find the cure for cancer? A teacher who would mold young lives? A fireman who would rescue people from burning buildings? I dreamed of becoming a politician who would build a better future for our children.
