The women2win Declaration

WE DECLARE our determination to increase the number of Conservative women MPs, by campaigning for more women to win nominations for winnable and Conservative-held seats, by pressing for any positive and radical reforms of the selection procedures for Conservative Parliamentary candidates short of compulsory all-women shortlists, and by providing support and advice to Conservative women who wish to enter Parliament;

and we hold it as self-evident that for the Conservative Party to represent the United Kingdom population successfully, it must itself become more representative of society as a whole, especially of women, and that this will also increase the quality of Conservative representation in Parliament, just as the promotion of able women has improved the quality of management and decision-making in other professions, in commerce and industry, and elsewhere in public life.
