Jane is vastly experienced political campaigner having stood for Westminster twice and also served as a local councillor including in cabinet.
Married to Tim for over 20 years, Jane has a boy and a girl – her daughter is currently studying for her GCSEs, her son is at college and is hoping to join the Royal Marines.
Jane has had a varied professional career including working for a charity, as a civil servant and in business. She is currently employed as a caseworker for an East Midlands MP, a role in which she has helped thousands of families deal with unique problems.
At the 2010 General Election she stood as the party’s candidate in Leicester East adding more than 3,500 votes to the Conservative tally than at the previous election in 2005.
Jane said: “Nottingham South had a Conservative Member of Parliament for many years and I look forward to campaigning hard over the coming months and listening to local people's concerns.
“I like to think the Conservative-led Coalition has strong record in Nottingham having invested heavily in the city with the widening of the A453 and the train station refurbishment just two examples.”
