Mina Rahman is the Barking perspective parliamentary candidate (PCC) for the 2015 General Election.
Mina said: "I believe it's vital that local people have a strong voice in Parliament, someone who fights for their concerns and stands up for the community - that's why I am standing to be your MP.
I am not a career politician. As somebody who has worked in the public sector for the last 29 years in housing and the NHS, I understand the issues that matter to you and your family. It was listening to those issues that persuaded me to set up a voluntary organisation to help women suffering domestic violence.
Having worked full time whilst raising a family I understand the issues facing hard working people and the importance of community integration."
